About this event

This event will take place at the Newcastle Building Society, Cobalt Business Park.

The North East Anti-Racism Coalition is a group of individuals and organisations who are committed to helping make the North East a place where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is the norm, and everyone feels safe and valued. We are working to make the North East a region that actively opposes racism and hatred based on religious identity. Please note that our language and approach are still evolving as we take a co-creation approach to our movement.

Following on from the success of our previous events, we are excited to announce that our next event will focus on how we can continue to take action to realise our ambition. We know there is no quick fix to this work, and this is why we, as a movement, have developed four themes to work towards: Anti-Racism Accountability & Leadership, Community Engagement, Learning and Awareness and Communication.

Our region has much to offer, and we have so much to share. How we do this is a really important part of the vision and we are looking forward to finding out more about your ideas around this, and the part we can all play.

This event will be held 10am to 1pm. Delegates are welcome to join us from 9.30am for light refreshments, ready for a prompt 10am start. You can plan your travel here: https://www.morecobalt.co.uk/travel/

Why not invite other people to join our movement. They can sign up at https://northeastantiracism.org.uk/contact/

The North East Anti-Racism Coalition (NEARC) is a recently established organisation. Our vision is of a North East that actively opposes racism and religious hatred — a region where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is the norm, and everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.

Please note that our language and approach are still evolving as we take a co-creation approach to our movement.
