The legal and moral rights for inclusion are well known, but the practical task of delivering work inclusively still needs support. Can everything be made accessible? Can people with all access needs be included in all the work we offer? The Arts Council have taken inclusion one step further with the Creative Case for Diversity which advocates placing diversity at the heart of cultural practice, enabling the arts and cultural profession to take ownership of the Arts Council’s policy on diversity and equality and reframe it, innovating creative approaches and solutions and bringing diversity in from the margins. This event is an opportunity to find out about and develop a deeper understanding of both inclusive practice and the Creative Case for Diversity in relation to work with children and young people.

A speaker, writer and activist, she creates, produces and curates art. She also intervenes in arts and culture at strategic levels with national agencies and on the ground with organisations and individuals embedding the belief that diversity adds texture, turning policy into real action.
