About this event: Broxbourne Council is committed to helping deliver mental health training to the heart of its business community. The Council is delighted to be partnering with Calmer, an award-winning training organisation, to deliver this much needed initiative.

The aim is to address common challenges staff, employees and teams face with managing mental wellbeing at work, and provide practical strategies and resources to improve their personal wellbeing, support others, and build a resilient team dynamic.

A 2024 survey conducted by the Society of Human Resource Management found that organisations with comprehensive wellbeing programmes reported a 25% reduction in healthcare costs over five years resulting in improved employee satisfaction and higher retention rates. Multiple studies reveal that mental health and resilience training in particular helps to equip people with practical tools, self-awareness, and strategies to understand and manage what they’re feeling – and prevent issues from escalating. It is clear that mental health support and training in the Broxbourne area must be a top priority for its business eco system.

Key takeaways from this training course include:

  • Exploring an overview of what good and poor mental health looks like, including the most common mental health conditions
  • Understanding the link between stress, anxiety and burnout, and best practices for burnout prevention
  • Learning how to communicate mental health concerns with your manager and colleagues
  • Identifying a range of practical exercises to build your confidence, resilience and embed healthy habits in daily life
  • Feel empowered to make a positive difference in your workplace

Calmer’s content blends theory with practical exercises, interactive discussion and time for reflection.

This session is open to employees and team members of any business within Broxbourne.
