Working with and understanding neurodivergent colleagues webinar - Feb 2025
Overview
This webinar (Monday 16th February, 2pm-4pm) is aimed at neurotypical people who wish to know more about the experiences of neurodivergent (ND) people in the workplace and support them more effectively.
The webinar will be recorded and those recordings made available to anyone booking a ticket to attend (to view themselves, not to share with others).
We will include elements such as:
What is ND, preferred language, some common ways in which ND might present in the workplace, masking, representation in the workplace. Common struggles for ND people in the workplace environment (e.g. light, noise, heat, distractions, etc) and simple ways in which we might support and work together more effectively. It is not an in depth dive into any one neurotype (e.g. Autism, Dyscalculia, etc) and can never be "complete" as such, as every person is different, but instead focusses on common areas that often overlap, as much as is practical.
It's suitable for people working in any sector, but particularly office based roles as many of the examples will be from office, Higher Education, and library settings.
In the past I've ran another workshop aimed specifically at people who manage neurodivergent staff, I may run that again depending on demand. This webinar will be of use to those who manage neurodivergent staff, but is not specifically aimed at management issues.
This webinar includes the option to book a larger number of staff from one institution at a reduced rate - the bookings close for this option slightly earlier so I can make sure that there is time to circulate a link to everyone for access.
I also run more in depth and interactive in-person workshops, please get in touch if you'd like this option.
I'm neurodivergent myself and this webinar will include elements of my lived experience.
