Event description

Description

Please note, that it is compulsory for you to have attended the URDVA prior to attending this course.

Equation’s extensive training programme is at the core of our support for our community workers and is supported and subsidised by Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership. To enable all workers to access our training courses we will provide them for FREE for Nottingham City workers. However, if your organisation provides you with a training budget we ask for a suggested donation of £20 which will enable our charity to cover the processing and administration costs. Thank you.

This one day course will:

  • Increase practitioners’ understanding and knowledge of domestic violence and abuse and its impacts on children and young people.
  • Enable practitioners to provide better support to children and young people; this will include through safety planning, resilience building, exploring coping strategies and protective factors.
  • Provide workers with practical tools they can utilise with children and young people who have lived with or are living with domestic violence and abuse.
  • Increase workers’ understanding of appropriate referral pathways and signposting.

Prerequisites: Please note, that it is compulsory for you to have attended the URDVA prior to attending this course.
