Course Description:
This course focuses on the importance of collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to effectively incorporate activity into holistic care plans. Participants will explore strategies for communication, partnership building, and inclusive planning to ensure that activity becomes a meaningful and sustainable part of everyday care. Emphasis is placed on understanding individual needs, supporting carers, and creating a shared culture of wellbeing.
Course Aim:
To develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work collaboratively with families and care teams to promote and integrate activities into the broader context of health and social care.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of families and care teams in supporting activity as part of holistic care.
- Identify opportunities to embed meaningful anctivities into daily routines in collaboration with others.
- Communicate effectively with families and professionals to promote a shared approach to active living.
- Recognise and respond to individual and group needs when planning physical activity within care settings.
- Apply strategies to overcome common barriers to participation and build motivation and engagement.

Certificates of attendance will only be issued to attendees who attend for the whole of the session.This course will be delivered via ZOOM and will include, presentations, discussion and reflection, case studies, videos and demonstrations. Please make sure that you are familiar with using ZOOM.
