Description

Duration: 2 day course 9:30 - 16:30 on 05/02/19 & 06/02/19

Target Audience: This course is for staff working to deliver support to families with multiple and complex needs. It is suitable to those working in family intervention projects or in a social care setting using the family intervention model.

Session Aim:

  • To understanding the principles and values that underpin working with parents.

Session Objectives:

  • To understand the nature of an effective relationship with parents.

  • To understand how barriers to participation for parents can be overcome.

  • To understand how to negotiate and/or agree the basis of relationships with parents.

  • To understand how to maintain the relationship with parents.

  • To understand the importance of reflecting on your own practice when working with parents.
