About this event

Working with male family influences (by Early Help)

Using a range of national research this session will focus on supporting practitioners and front line workers to engage positively, directly and contextually with male family influences.

Working through how to understand the influence of males within the family, being aware of the needs of the male members of the family unit and enabling opportunities for the male voice to be heard.

Session Aims:

• Using data and research to highlight priorities for understanding male family influences

• Awareness of regional priorities and support available

• Inform and direct practitioner around male family influences work

Session Objectives:

• To raise awareness of the male family influences

• To understand the need for contextualized work with males

• To be clear on the priorities for working directly with males within a family unit

• To increase knowledge of how to listen and respond.
