You will hear the family business story from father and son business owners - Anthony and Carl Grimshaw of Smithills Farm and experience behind the scenes life of one of the region's best loved attractions and working dairy farm. The pair have worked together (and as in any family business not without their ups and downs) since Carl left school at 16, and as a family have invested and diversified, creating one of Lancashire's real farming success stories.

Today Smithills Open Farm attracts around 140,000 visitors a year, and with modern technology and over 200 cows now produces its own-label milk and ice-cream. They now supply this to the surrounding area through a new and extremely popular milk round.
