Working with people and groups - deepening your skills
Wednesday, 5 July 2017 from 10:00 to 16:00 (BST)
For anyone interested in further developing their skills in working with groups, this workshop will give you the chance to continue to build your confidence in using Community Animation tools. During the workshop you will learn more about your role in supporting the ‘life of the group’, and how to work with the group’s energy. This session is ideal for those who have already experienced some Community Animation, and are starting to use the tools and techniques with groups they are involved in or members of.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
- Deepened your knowledge and skills of how to support the development of a group, gathering or get together
- Improved your confidence in using Community Animation to manage the energy of groups, ensuring everyone is included
- Understood how to apply more Community Animation tools and techniques
We recommend that participants have taken part in our workshop on “Working with people and groups” before taking part in this workshop.
This workshop is delivered by Community Animation enthusiasts from across Gloucestershire.
Lunch is also provided at this workshop.

It’s all about creating more welcoming and inclusive communities across Gloucestershire to help people do the things they enjoy, and get to know more people where they live. You’re Welcome is for everyone, from all walks of life, and that includes people for whom life can sometimes be tricky.
At the heart of You’re Welcome are our free workshops which offer fun and inspiring experiences to support you to grow more welcoming and inclusive communities. You’re invited to join us for one or a series of workshops which are all designed to enable you and the people you live among to get better connected. The workshops are open to everyone living and working in Gloucestershire, and are offered free of charge. If after reading through the programme you can’t find what you’re looking for then please give us a call to discuss your interests.
