Working with professionals without losing your sh*t

Join fellow caregivers and Rachel Wright for an engaging and relaxed event looking at the complexity, failures and successes of working with a multitude of professionals whilst advocating for your child.

Rachel is the author of The Skies I’m Under, a qualified nurse, host of The Skies We’re Under podcast and parent to a young man with complex disabilities. She is also the Founder/Director of Born at the Right Time a business which aims to #bridgethegap between families of children with complex needs and the practitioners who support them.

She’s runs CPD certified training in communication and co-production, however, she still makes complaints and doesn’t always get it right. This workshop will include:

  1. How can our story impacts our communication and collaborative working?
  2. What can we do to work together better?
  3. Is there way a good way to make complaints?
  4. Working with rather than against practitioners
  5. Looking after your own mental health at the same time (she finds this easier to talk about than do)
  6. Lunch – food, cake and plenty of carbs!

The day time session is 9:30 join for tea and coffee but starts at 10am at the Guildhall in Hull Town centre.
