Working with Trees - An Ecotherapy Series (5 Sessions with Stephen McCabe)

Trees are often a central focus in ecotherapy sessions. These mysterious beings inspire us with their energy and their utter uniqueness. Trees are essential to our existence as humans and their diversity across the world is awe-inspiring.

This five-week series will explore the beautiful kinship that can form between humans and our wooden friends. Throughout the course, you will bond with one particular tree who lives in your neighbourhood. During the sessions, you will explore how your relationship develops with this tree, whilst discussing the power of working specifically with trees in ecotherapy work.

Each week you will be given one ecotherapy exercise to do which aims to bond you with your tree through a variety of sensory, mythical, creative and practical experiences.

Each session is two hours long. The first session is on Thursday 29th September and the course runs weekly (every Thursday) at the same time until 27th October. There are five sessions in total.

This series counts for 14 hours credits for current Ten Directions students. (Two hours for each session plus four hours worth of outdoor work with your tree.)

Although this event is part of the Ten Directions training course for ecotherapy practitioners, anybody can book and take part in these public online events. If you are interested, please do buy a ticket.

Please note that we will not be recording these online events. We cannot offer refunds to people who do not show up assuming that they will get a recording.

As our events are interactive, we kindly request that attendees have their cameras switched on to engage with the group experience (unless of course you have technical difficulties).
