Event description

Description

This session will provide you with an overview of working with vulnerable groups.

The evening will start with two short introductory talk followed by two workshops to choose from, which go into more detail of working with either adults and children.

The talks and workshops will be led by Albert Potrony, an artist educator who has extensive experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We will soon confirm our artist who will share their experience of working with vulnerable adults.

Designed to act as an introduction for beginners and a refresher for more experienced practitioners alike, the sessions will include practical exercises and networking opportunities with peers, providing participants with an array of tools and resources that can be used in the classroom and beyond.

Aidan Adams, Education Project Manager from Bow Arts will be on hand to offer his perspectives.

Working with children:

Led by Albert Potrony (Artist Educator) and Stephen Kilgour (Cherry Garden School), this session will provide you with an overview of Special Education and a better understanding of how to work with children with a range of disabilities. Albert’s practical activities will equip you with fun and inventive approaches that you can apply in the classroom to best meet children’s needs.

Working with Adults:

This session will include scenarios based exercises exploring the perspectives of vulnerable adults. More information to come soon.
