Event description
This training explores Abianda’s approach & model of working with gang-affected young women and girls.

About this Event

This training will explore Abianda's unique approach to working with gang-affected girls and young women, and those exploited through county lines activity. It will give an overview of the principles on which we base our approach, including Solution Focus Practice and Participation. The training will explore and challenge the stereotypes and myths around young women, gangs and county lines, and facilitate a critical discussion of the term “gang”.

Practically, the training will consider the risk young women face and the barriers there are to accessing support. We will share the skills and attributes young women tell us they want to see in the "ideal" professional, in order to engage, include, support and safeguard them.

Delegates will be encouraged to participate in large and small group discussion and exercises. We would be grateful if all attendees are present for the full 3-hour session and are able to switch on their camera and microphone when needed.
