Join us for an introduction on on how to work with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and violence, and associated with ‘gangs’ and county line activity.

Working with young women & girls affected by criminal exploitation & violence

This short seminar will use case studies, interactive exercises and trainer presentations to explore a gendered understanding to young women's experiences. You will be invited to explore indicators of vulnerability, barriers to accessing services and ideas for practice with young women and girls.

The training is CPD certified, and attendance at the whole session will result in a certificate of completion.

Learning objectives

- Increase your understanding of how young women are affected by criminal exploitation and violence, and the legislative frameworks that can support your work

- Develop your understanding of the risks young women face, and the barriers that prevent them accessing support

- Learn more about the Practice Principles that should inform all work with young people affected by exploitation

- Develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes young women tell us they want professionals to have.
