Event description

Description

Organisational change is becoming a permanent feature of working life as competitive pressures demand the continuous reinvention and improvement of products, services and processes. Yet according to several studies, the majority of change initiatives fail to achieve their promise because they don¹t secure the active participation of employees and other key stakeholders. This Masterclass will demonstrate how successful change can be inspired from the top whilst unleashing the ideas and experience of the entire workforce, combining the strategic insights of senior teams with the tacit knowledge and creativity of all employees.

This highly interactive Masterclass is your opportunity to:

  • Learn from leading European experts
  • Gain inspiration and practical insights from two transformative business leaders
  • Share experiences with other Scottish companies

Participants will assess current practices in their own companies, get advice from our experts, and learn about opportunities for support from Scottish Enterprise’s Workplace Innovation Specialists

One of a programme of Masterclasses delivered on behalf of Scottish Enterprise by Workplace Innovation Limited. a not-for-profit company created to help companies achieve high performance and high quality of working life.

Speakers

Professor Tony Huzzard – Lund University, Sweden

Tony is a leading European expert on organisational learning, change and development. He will share the thinking and practice behind highly successful Scandinavian approaches to change, not least in how to engage the entire workforce in innovation. Tony has extensive experience in the automotive and healthcare industries as well as other sectors.

Edwin Van Vlierberghe – Bombardier, Belgium

Until recently, Edwin led Bombardier’s Global Procurement and Supply Chain and was responsible for around 15,000 people. Previously, he was CEO of the Belgian division (a plant in Bruges with 900 employees).
