Workplace mediation is now well established as a highly effective way of resolving a range of workplace disputes, including:
• Communication breakdown
• Issues relating to management style
• Problems following re-structuring and job re-evaluation
• Personality clashes
• Allegations of low-level bullying and harassment
• Perceptions of unfair treatment
Many HR professionals have come across workplace mediation, either when it is provided by an external mediation provider, or perhaps when they have set up their own internal mediation service. The confidentiality of mediation, however, means that there are few opportunities to observe a mediation session in progress, or to ask the mediator questions and to gain a better understand of how mediation works.
At this event UK Mediation Ltd will give a live demonstration of mediation in action, with a practising mediator and two participants who will enact a typical workplace mediation scenario. The mediator will demonstrate the steps and stages of workplace mediation, and delegates will have an opportunity to observe the mediation process in full
