Workshop - Between Memory and Ritual
Come join us for a unique workshop exploring the intersection of memory and ritual. Following the Shape of Reminisce exhibition, this workshop invites participants into an intimate exploration of our shared need to sustain dialogue with the afterlife. Guided by Freud’s idea of sublimation, we will reflect on and dissect rituals surrounding grief, memory, and continuity across cultures.
Through short presentations on traditions from Mexico, Korea, and Malta, an open sharing circle, and collective reflection, participants will be encouraged to bring their own experiences—personal, cultural, or invented. Together, we will create a living “map” of our dialogue, blending voices, memories, and rituals into a shared artifact.
Gathered in a circle with food, drinks, and candles, this workshop is both conversation and ritual—an occasion for community, remembrance, and reflection. Participants are warmly invited to bring along some food to share, adding another layer of ritual through collaboration, reciprocity, and conviviality.
See you there!
