So there’s a challenge in your community – perhaps to do with regeneration or housing or enterprise – and local voices don't get heard because decisions have been made behind closed doors by those in power. Sound familiar? How can we change this?
How do we map where power lies locally?
How do we build networks of people that represent diverse communities in an area?
How do we think strategically about shifting power away from traditional decision-makers and towards communities?
Led by Jo from the movement-building NGO Hope Not Hate, this session explores how you can support normal people (who live outside the campaigning bubble!) to develop their capacity for change in a way that is comfortable for them.
Tickets are free to members of Hope Note Hate sub-group, Lambeth More in Common. From everyone else, tickets are £5 to cover the costs of opening the Hub on a Saturday.
This is the second in a 2-part series led by Hope Not Hate at Impact Hub Brixton. If the workshops are well received and attended, more will be planned for 2017 covering similar topics.
