Workshop | Choreographic toolbox with Anna-Louise McMinn
Overview
Join us for a joyful, uplifting and inclusive movement workshop exploring different tools and ideas for generating movement for performance. Topics include: ideas for generating choreography, finding ways to physically embody a character in performance and creating movement for theatre.
This is an inclusive movement workshop lead by an experienced instructor with 10 years experience of teaching inclusive movement classes. There will be practical elements/ opportunities to move/ dance during the workshop so please find a space clear for moving. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, take rest breaks if needed and most importantly - have fun and embrace the joy of moving!
About Anna-Louise
Anna- Louise McMinn is a professional performer, movement teacher/ facilitator and choreographer who specialises in inclusive arts and movement practices. Anna currently teaches inclusive dance and fitness classes for disabled, neurodivergent and non- disabled people nationally, and has worked for organisations such as Stopgap Dance Company, The Royal Academy of Dance and Mencap in this capacity. Anna uses her lived experience as a neurodivergent individual with physical access needs, alongside her inclusive practice training to deliver inclusive, welcoming and joyful movement classes.
