Join Matt Raw*, ceramicist, expert workshop leader and member of Studio Manifold, as he teaches you to make your very own striped coil pots.
By simply rolling out coils of clay, stacking them, and blending them together, incredible, striped forms can be achieved. Whether you fancy making sculptural, graphical, or domestic objects, come down and get your hands dirty.
The work will then be fired at Manifold HQ, and be back at the gallery the following Saturday (20th April) ready for you to pick up. A real life ceramic artwork of your own making!
*Don't forget to specify which session you would like to attend on the drop down menu.
ABOUT MATT RAW
* Matt Raw is an artist who explores people and place. Print is constantly referenced in his work as he looks for new ways in which language and text can coexist with form, fusing a relationship between the narrative and the structure.
Recent projects have seen Matt work and exhibit in Detroit, Denmark, the V&A, and with The National Trust. This summer he is running a series of workshops at London Zoo.
Matt began Studio Manifold with eight other graduates from the Royal College of Art’s Ceramic & Glass Dept in 2010.
