Event description

Description

When considering use of cloud computing within your organisation, it’s important that it is not just treated as just a like-for-like replacement for in-house infrastructure. You must have to have a clear understanding of where your organisation currently is in its readiness for cloud and how it can be utilised to get the full benefits.

Performing a cloud adoption assessment will help you identify which applications are ready to move to the cloud and which might be better hosted elsewhere, showing you to what extent a hybrid approach may be suitable. It will also give you a deeper understanding of your readiness from a cultural, resourcing, budgetary, needs and risk perspective, helping you to identify and plan for future blockers.

In this interactive workshop you will learn how to:

  • Evaluate and identify how prepared you are to progress into cloud
  • Build a business case for cloud to feed back to your organisation
  • Define and build a cloud operating model for the future
  • Lead your organisation through the cloud adoption journey
  • Improve services within your organisation by understanding how to maximise cloud

Who the workshop is for: This Interactive workshop is for IT leaders who are currently looking into the role of cloud within their organisation.

The workshop will be hosted by Colm Blake (Solutions Consultant) and Louise Wain (Cloud Practitioner) who have helped various public and third sector organisations assess their readiness for cloud and plan their strategy.
