About this event

Time: 9:00 to 14:30 BST (Hybrid event- Campus and Online)

Background: The School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing, Leeds Beckett University and the Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkiye are delivering an International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) research project on the application of generative AI in early prediction of construction waste through circular procurement in a 2-year project. As part of this project, the research team is organising a seminar on the research progress, ethical and responsible application of AI in the construction industry, circular procurement and generative AI.

Why You Should Attend

This seminar offers a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and sustainable construction. As the industry faces increasing pressure to reduce waste and embrace circular economy principles, understanding how generative AI can support early prediction and smarter procurement decisions is more critical than ever.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the ethical and responsible deployment of AI technologies, hear directly from international researchers and practitioners, and explore practical applications that could shape the future of construction. Whether you are an academic, industry professional, policymaker, or student, this event will deepen your understanding of how digital innovation can drive sustainability and efficiency in the built environment.
