ABOUT THE FLOWER APPRECIATION SOCIETY
"Not your average florists"....
Founded in 2009, The Flower Appreciation Society has a vibrant and refreshing approach to floristry. Anna Day and Ellie Jauncey create natural and wild floral arrangements, using English seasonal flowers wherever possible, and masses of wild foliage. With backgrounds in illustration and textile design respectively, it is this visual training that informs their beautiful, natural and often quirky arrangements.
Their work has featured in The Guardian, The Independent, Stylist, Oh Comely, Amelia’s Magazine and Company Magazine.
Clients include Shona Heath, Florence & The Machine, The Serpentine Gallery, YCN, House of Hackney, Yellow Door, Luv Luv Luv Records, Bompas & Parr, Fred Butler, Port Eliot and Shoreditch House.
Pattern Power —Superstripe is the first in an ongoing series of annual exhibitions and events, exploring the powerful presence of pattern and it’s ability to positively connect us all.
For the month of April 2013 cult pattern pioneers Patternity take over the Londonewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street in East London.
Visitors will be immersed in an intriguing and tactile world of stripes as Patternity transport their iconic curation and ethos of ‘celebrating pattern everywhere’ boldly into the real world.
