Autodesk is offering workshops at MAE for students who are interested in learning about Fusion 360. All you need to do is sugn up to this event and bring a laptop with Fusion installed. Fusion is free for students and educators, you can download it at http://www.autodesk.com/getfusion360. Feel free to attend any of the two sessions, both will have the same agenda.
Fusion 360 is the first 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE tool of its kind, and connects your entire product development process in a single cloud-based platform that works on both Mac and PC. It combines industrial and mechanical design, simulation, collaboration, and machining in a single package. The tools in Fusion 360 enable fast and easy exploration of design ideas with an integrated concept-to-production toolset.
The workshop will be 2 hours long and will feature an overview of Fusion's environments and capabilities, as well as hands-on activities on parametric modelling, T-Spline organic modelling and rendering. No experience with other CAD tools is required. You will also have a chance of signing up to Autodesk Student Expert network.
If needed, assistance for installing Fusion will be provided on site. Feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for questions or any help with the instalation process.
