Overview:
Bristol City Council is updating its ‘Sport & Active Recreation Facilities Strategy’ for Bristol.
To ensure this considers the needs of all our communities we are doing some community engagement before we start this process. This is primarily focused on groups who are less likely to be active in the city:
- Older adults
- Disabled people
- Black & Asian people
- Women & Girls
- Children and adults living in deprived areas.
We want to understand what matters most to people when it comes to accessing different facilities, and the barriers and enablers that may influence them. We have already conducted focus groups and interviews and are now looking to share our initial findings and develop our understanding further.
This workshop is aimed at:
- Community Champions
- Local organisations and community groups who support our target audiences
- Councillors
- Professionals working in sport, health, education and VCSE sectors.
We'd love for you to join us at this workshop to explore this topic further and get your input.
Alternative Dates: If you can't make this session, then we are also running a session on Thursday 25th September, The Greenway Centre, Southmead. You can view the eventbrite here. You do not need to attend both workshops.
