Whilst neurological traits can be an advantage for some if they have the opportunity to showcase them in a useful way (i.e. being extremely creative). For others, such neurodivergent traits may create challenges, especially in certain social settings. So, what challenges do neurodivergent individuals face in the workplace and what considerations are you making when it comes to adjustments?

Hosted by Jodie Hill, founder and Managing Partner of multi-award winning Thrive Law, this 45-minute workshop focuses on:

  • What is neurodiversity?
  • The link between neurodiversity and mental health.
  • What challenges do neurodivergent individuals face in the workplace?
  • Understanding some common conditions and how they may manifest in the workplace.
  • What are suitable adjustments to consider to support neurodiverse employees in recruitment?
  • Why might a neurodiverse employee be an asset to your workplace?

Followed by 15 minutes of Q&As.

Presenter: Jodie Hill

Jodie Hill originally trained as a barrister then cross-qualified as a solicitor. In 2018 she became the founder and Managing Partner of multi-award winning Thrive Law. Jodie has specialised in employment law throughout her career and has a keen understanding of this complex legal sector, particularly D&I issues, together with all HR-related issues.

Jodie also has a passion for helping to encourage understanding around mental health and has a strong desire to help end stigma surrounding the subject, to create a happier, healthier workforce. This passion can be seen in her campaign: #OneMind, to bring mental health to the top of the business agendas, with her campaign being featured by Sky News, the BBC, The Times, The Law Society Gazette, Yorkshire Post and other key media.

Each 45-minute Mental Health Adviser Workshop cover a key topic to help you protect your employees’ mental health and wellbeing, plus 15 minutes of question and answers with your presenter, and expert, Jodie Hill. Following the workshop, you’ll also receive a link to the workshop recording, plus all of the related resources and presentation slides.’
