Event description

Description

For those poets and performers among us who are looking to hone their onstage skills, ‘Improv & Performance for Poets’ is for you. ‘Have your self-critical instincts ever inhibited you from writing?’ the organisers ask. ‘Have you ever stood on a stage and felt unsure about how to introduce yourself and your work?’ The workshop, which takes all day, is built around relaxed group activities, improvisation exercises, and writing games, and is led by improv and poetry facilitators Will Naameh (UK Improv Champion 2017) and Colin Bramwell (twice award-nominated poet, Prague Fringe 2016/17).

The SPL is fully accessible, with a ground-floor entrance and a lift that accesses all three floors. There is one adapted toilet on the basement floor. Guide and hearing dogs are welcome. A portable audio loop is available for single user; if you need a multi-user loops system, please let us know as far as possible in advance.
