An introductory carpentry workshop specifically for women and gender expansive folks.
This workshop will introduce you to basic woodworking tools, preparing and installing the timber cladding of the North Acton Village Hut, a small building made of strawbale and second hand timber, designed and delivered by Social Designs and ReCollective.
The workshop is a chance to get hands-on with tools - whether it’s your very first time or you’re looking to grow your skills - in an accepting and collaborative environment where lots of questions are encouraged and mistakes are celebrated!
On North Acton Square, you can learn how to work with the most essential construction hand tools and power tools (such as a drill, a driver and a circular saw).
We’re looking forward to creating a space for anyone who hasn’t yet had the chance to try building, and to help you gain the confidence to bring your own ideas to life!
