Workshop: Introduction to Fact Checking!

STEP and Mid Ulster Council are delighted to offer this workshop at no cost to community and voluntary organisations in the Mid Ulster area as part of our ongoing sanctuary initiative.

The training workshop will be delivered by FactCheckNI and includes:

· An introduction to FactCheckNI

· What is fact checking?

· Critical thinking skills.

· Fact checking tools – details of online tools we use when fact-checking

· Types of bad information (e.g. conspiracy theories/hate speech)

· Questions to ask yourself when dealing with information

· Q&A

Who might benefit from attending?

The training is open to individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations in the Mid Ulster District Council area.
