Spend the day with Rachel, a local print artist, learning the principles of screen printing with blocking fluid and experimenting with shape, texture and colour.

The morning session begins with a walk around the nature park and gardens at Tyland Barn to gather inspiration for your prints. Back in the workshop space you’ll make your sketches up into a design for your fabric and set up a screen using a blocking fluid technique to produce a detailed print that can be reproduced multiple times. Rachel will provide you with the skills and share supplier information with you to carry on printing at home.

You will have 1 metre of fabric to print onto. All materials and printing equipment are supplied.

Please bring an apron or painting shirt, a packed lunch and a sketch book and pencils.

This workshop is suitable for all over 18s, beginners are welcome.

Please note that a suitable number of attendees are required for this workshop to run. In the event that this number is not reached we may ask if you are able to attend on a different date.
