This is an in-person workshop ONLY. Please note that refunds are allowed till up to 10 days before the event date and time.
Printing books used to be a lot more complex than it is today — especially intricate, hand-carved illustrations. While not replicating the exact method of 18th century woodblock carving used in Linnaeus' time (we want you to keep all of your fingers!), we will be drawing on, cutting and carving up lino sheets.
Join us in our historic building to sketch, carve and print your expressions of nature. Recreate something from our herbarium collections or prints, or better still, create a new work of your own, and take home some delicate handmade prints.
Paper, lino, tools and ink will be provided, but if you would like to print on clothes or tote bags, feel free to bring along whichever canvas inspires you.
