Event description
We're going to pick an iconic music video - something that brings us joy - and work together to stage a live version of it in one morning.

About this Event

We’re going to pick an iconic music video – something that brings us joy and glee – and work together to stage a live version of it in one morning. Everything – music, costume, design, acting, choreography. The best kind of performance is fast and furious, so let’s get cracking!

This workshop will be led by special guest, Toni-Dee Paul, a storyteller and performance artist currently based and from the North of England – specifically, Leeds.

Toni-Dee says 'I like stories, I would call myself a storyteller. I like telling them and re-telling them and re-telling them again, stories about myself, and about other people. Sometimes these stories contain fiction, sometimes fact.'

This is part of a series of activities we are holding over 2019 to explore whether there is an appetite for a People's Theatre for the city. People can come to as much or as little as they like.

Everyone who comes to any of our activities will be invited to our People's Inspiration Meetings where we dream up ideas for new shows. We will bring two of these ideas to life on the stage of one of our partner theatres where we are an Associate Company: the Brighton Dome or ACCA in 2020.

Please note this session is for people who are not professional artists, who live in the BN postcode area and who are aged 18 years and over.
