Workshop on Ecological Forecasting
The workshop will bring together non-academics interested in ecological forecasts to further discuss what constitutes success and quality in ecological forecasting, with additional details provided via examples of ecological forecast use and development.
All information will be synthesised alongside that obtained from academics to inform the development of the framework. A preliminary version of the framework will be presented to participants of the British Ecological Society’s annual meeting in December 2025 for feedback. Ultimately, we hope to publish the framework as a scientific article and to develop associated guidelines for practitioners wanting to use the best available forecasts.
