About this event

We would like to invite NGOs and experts that support people on domestic complex situations, stakeholders, researchers and academics to the 2nd workshop on “Emerging Technologies in Complex Scenarios”.

Recent research has revealed the potential for ‘smart’ technologies to be weaponised against victims of domestic abuse, termed as ‘smart abuse’ and there is also the potential for emerging technologies to be similarly misused raising challenges regarding how to design them to operate within complex domestic situations. This 2nd workshop aims to explore, through co-creative sessions with experts, design guidelines for emerging technologies used at home, to ensure that they do not increase social disorders.

The session will run online via Zoom, once you register and choose a date you will receive the information to connect.

If you have any questions please contact to Carolina Fuentes at FuentesToroC@cardiff.ac.uk

Who should attend? This workshop invites any practitioner or researcher working on domestic abuse (e.g NGOs, charities, practitioners, social workers, academics)
