Psychometric measures is one of the most frequently used psychological assessment methods employed in healthcare settings. Administering, scoring and interpreting psychometric assessments is typically considered a core task for assistant psychologist working within healthcare settings, including the NHS.
This workshop will be most helpful to those with little or no experience using psychometric measures. The training event aims to cover the following areas:
• What are psychometric assessment measures and the different types used by psychologists
• Development of psychometric assessment questionnaires
• Reasons psychometric assessment measures are considered scientific tools
• Benefits of using psychometric assessments
• Limitations of psychometric measures and possible ways to overcome them

• Potential assistant psychologist interviews questions to consider
The workshop will be delivered online by a HCPC registered clinical and/or forensic psychologist.
