About this event
The 21st century can rightfully be called the digitalisation epoch. Since the widespread adoption of computer technology starting from the 1970s and the rise of the internet in the 1990s, the world around us has been changing at a staggering pace. Driven by technological innovation, our global financial markets in particular have become more complex, more interconnected, and even more intangible than before. For example, algorithmic trading provides new opportunities, but also new challenges to financial stability. Blockchain technology enables the creation of entirely new financial products and systems. Digitalization has facilitated the creation of new business models and transformed the way traditional business models are operated. As new FinTech companies are pouring into the financial sector, we have to face the reality that digitalization changes the landscape of our financial system in a largely unprecedented way that nobody had predicted.
The 1.5-day event will consist of presentation sessions and a poster session. Each presentation session will include talks by invited speakers and talks by workshop participants. We invite submissions in, but not limited to, the following topics:
