Workshop: Pan de muerto (Mexicain Bread of the dead)
Date and time
Location
Online event
Let’s bake along: In this workshop we’ll prepare together this traditional bread for your “Ofrenda” and learn about our traditions.
About this event
This is one of the most beautiful Mexican traditions; we do not celebrate Halloween but Día de Muertos (Day of the Deads)
We believe that our beloved ones who passed away are allowed to come back to this world on the 1st November (kids) and 2nd November (adults) to visit us.
We pamper them with their favourite food and prepare a special bread for the ofrenda.
When making bread, we need patience for prooving times.
I choose this recipe that is a good one and save time without loosing the authentic and traditional flavour.
If you prefer just see a class and know about the traditions, book this other event:
Schedule:
10:00am making the dough, some tips and leave for the first proof.
11:30am to 13:00pm We reconnect for giving shape and while we have the 2nd raise and during baking time, we will talk about the tradition, solve doubts and give tips.
Once you get your ticket, you will receive the Ingredient list.
This event is FREE and due to COVID this year I couldn’t make my traditional McMillan coffee morning, so please if you can donate directly to them, even £5 can make a difference:
