Event description
This workshop will connect pen to paper as we think about the particular qualities of writing for theatre.

About this Event

What makes a speech dramatic? How does the audience affect what we want to say? What does an actor need from a script? What happens to words on stage? This workshop will connect pen to paper as we think about the particular qualities of writing for theatre.

This workshop will be led by Tim Crouch, who is a professional actor, playwright and director.

This is part of a series of activities we are holding over 2019 to explore whether there is an appetite for a People's Theatre for the city. People can come to as much or as little as they like.

Everyone who comes to any of our activities will be invited to our People's Inspiration Meetings where we dream up ideas for new shows. We will bring two of these ideas to life on the stage of one of our partner theatres where we are an Associate Company: the Brighton Dome or ACCA in 2020.

For more info visit our website: www.brightonpeoplestheatre.org

Please note this session is for people who are not professional artists, who live in the BN postcode area and who are aged 18 years and over.
