In this workshop, you’ll work with others committed to shaping the future of the built environment sector in Sweden. You’ll be guided by future visions created by interdisciplinary teams in the Futures We Build initiative and together re-imagine roles, practices and processes in how, what and where we build.

Insights from this workshop will be captured and communicated widely to shape the path towards an innovative and sustainable built environment sector.

Questions explored in this workshop:

How might the built environment sector function and be organised in a future Sweden where we have reached our shared sustainability goals?
What different actors, organisations and roles will there be? How might your organisation be in this future?
What strategies, competencies, practices, tools and collaborations are needed in 2025 and onwards for the sector to transform, together?

We invite a diverse group of people from the built environment sector in Sweden to participate in this workshop. You can, for example, be a real estate developer, architect, urban designer, construction engineer, a civil servant, employee in a municipality or a region, research, student, a community organiser or other.

This workshop is part of the Futures We Build, a strategic project within Smart Built Environment, one of Sweden’s 17 Strategic Innovation Programs, with funding from Vinnova (Sweden’s innovation agency), The Swedish Energy Agency and Formas (Swedish government research council for sustainable development).
