Foldability is a design studio specialising in creative projects inspired by origami and geometry. They have been featured by Elle Decoration, The Financial Times, Wallpaper and The Guardian, amongst others. Plinth will host an installation which plays on optical illusions and perspective.
Kyla McCallum of Foldability will hold a workshop based on the traditional techniques used in a process called pleating, a practice which involves using a paper mould to fold fabric into origami forms. Over the course of the workshop, participants will learn about concertina-based methods and how these can be transformed into chevron folding patterns.
