About this event
Join us as Bristol commemorates and celebrates World AIDS Day 2019. It will be a packed evening where Bristol is signing up to be a Fast Track City (www.fast-trackcities.org) to improve our local response to HIV and AIDS.
5.15-6pm – to mark World AIDS Day we will be taking a visible and proud walk through Bristol before ending at the Watershed for the main event.
Please meet at St James' Priory at 5.15pm where there will be time for reflection and lighting candles. We will then leave St James' Priory at 5.40pm and walk through the Centre towards The Watershed.
6-8.30pm - Join us for a very special evening as the people of Bristol come together for an evening of commemoration and celebration to mark World AIDS Day 2019 as well as the official signing of the declaration for Bristol to become a Fast Track City.
This is a partnership event in conjunction with:
- Bristol City Council
- Brigstowe
- Terrence Higgins Trust (THT)
The programme for the evening will consist of:
- Personal Stories
- The importance of Peer Mentoring
- Prevention
- Fast Track Cities Declaration Signing by The Mayor
- A performance by Sing Out Bristol
The Registration is only for the Celebration at The Watershed- if you wish to attend the procession please feel free to just come along!
