Join us on World Book Night – a national celebration of reading and books which takes place on 23 April each year. We are pleased to announce that we are being joined by local writers Tom Kelly and Nancy Revell.
Tom will talk about Lost Dialects - words that are slowly disappearing from everyday conversations. This links with the Lost Dialect exhibition which is currently residing in The Word which has attracted enormous interest from visitors of all ages. Tom will also perform readings from his poetry collection, SPELK.
Nancy, who has written two novels in The ShipYard Girls series brings the lives of working women to life during World War II. Nancy will be talking about her latest novel Shipyard Girls at War.
