About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Overview

This Session is about ultilizing a new, world building structure from reknowned Theatremaker Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu. You will exploring the following:

  • Understanding World Building Basics (Theory & Practice)
  • Applying them to texts
  • Forming your own worlds

Benefits

  • Actors will better understand how to analyse stories, stimuli and texts to make bold and reasoned (seasoned) suggestions based on the World at play
  • Writers will be able to use a new system in order to create clear and interesting worlds for their stories and scripts
  • Directors & Theatremakers will be able to use this a foundation point in devising Worlds for exisiting texts and new ideas - especially with stories where the world is vastly different from their own.

Some of the research and ticket revenue from this workshop will feed the development of a new Afro-futurist play written and directed by Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu.

The last part of the workshop will become a LAB, where you can bring any ideas you have been brewing and apply the World Building structure to this. But don't worry if you haven't got an idea yet, you will by the end of the workshop!
