Description

Celebrate World Music Day with a FREE screening of South African feel-good film Felix at HOME, Manchester.

Felix has won a scholarship to a private school but coming from a poorer part of town than the other boys means settling isn’t easy. Music is where Felix feels confident so, seeing the opportunity to take part in the school’s concert, he vows to audition and become a saxophonist like his late father. Unfortunately, his mother hates the idea of Felix following his dad’s footsteps so he must learn the instrument in secret with the help of his father’s old band-mates.


Suitable for young people aged 9 and above, Felix carries a strong a positive anti-bullying message and has curriculum links with PSHE, Music, Geography and Citizenship.
