About this event

Music • Classical

On 19th September, the Leicester International Music Festival welcomes Emma-Ruth Richards as Composer-in-Residence.

Her new work, Still Life — for oboe, viola, violoncello and tingsha bells, with visual projection — will receive its premiere at the Attenborough Arts Centre, performed by world-renowned musicians Nicholas Daniel, Rachel Roberts, and Gemma Rosefield.

The performance also features text and visual projections by Nic Chalmers, alongside creative responses to the piece by visual artists, which will be on display during the event.

Following the performance, there will be an opportunity to join a discussion and Q&A with Nicholas Daniel (performer and LIMF Creative Director), Emma-Ruth Richards (composer), and Nic Chalmers (writer and visual artist).
