Event description

Description

The World Robotic Sailing Championship is an annual competition of autonomous sailing robots of up to 4m lenght.

We invite the general public to an open afternoon on the last day, Thursday 30th of August to watch our sailing robots, get to know the teams, see information stands and participate in activities related to maritime autonomy. On this last competition day, the teams attempts at performing obstacle avoidance can be viewed live. Please bear in mind that whilst many will be happy to answer questions. the teams are actively competing at the time of the event, so some team members will be very focused on their work.

Whilst here, you might also enjoy checking out the Calshot Activities Centre. We are using the conference rooms for WRSC; many other sporting activites are available on-site as well. You can also get food and drinks at the activity centre's cafe.

When visiting, you are responsible for your own safety. Remember to take according precautions near water and keep a safe distance from all robotic vessels and any electronic equippment.
