How entrepreneurs can work together with the government to make the cities smarter? On 18 April, the registration for the second edition of the Startup in Residence The Hague will open. As a partner, World Startup Factory is hosting a cozy Campfire session with Prashant Shukla, the co-founder of Savana Solutions and the participant of Startup in Residence 2016. What is a Campfire?
Campfires are all about experience and knowledge transfer. We invite all impact thinkers to join us in a casual setting, where top-notch entrepreneurs and experts share their stories and open the stage for Q&A. Even though the presence of an actual fire is tentative, we believe that the cozy and jolly atmosphere is perfect for learning, sharing and establishing meaningful relationships.
What is Startup in Residence?
Startup in Residence is a new way of connecting the government and startups. Besides the ambition to connect and stimulate collaboration, the programme also aims to develop innovative solutions for the ‘wicked’ urban challenges the city faces.
On 18 April the new 'wicked problems' for 2017's cohort will be announced and startups will be challenged to work with the Municipality on the solutions. The selected startups are offered an intensive training programme, as well as the support of professional mentors. The startups will also be provided with working space and have access to the municipality’s network and events.
