About the Speaker:

Dirk van Deursen holds the Degree in Mechanical Engineering (TU Delft), specializing in biomechanics. Triggered by his father (an MD in orthopaedics), he and his team worked on the idea of passive motion to relieve the back pain. They started as a tech startup from the TU Delft, confronted with the IP challenges stemming from the realization of their innovative concept. Connecting stakeholders, developing design and fostering communication had been their roadmap for at least 12 years since. Today, new ventures, intellectual property, concept architect and business development are the key issues for DIrk.
