An industry-led panel discussion exploring on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the global whisky industry.

About this Event

The World Whisky Forum is moving online with a new series of summits examining the important topics facing the industry.

The first in a new series of World Whisky Talks will focus on the impact the coronavirus pandemic is having on the global whisky industry.

World Whisky Talk: Coronavirus, taking place on 27th May at 5pm BST, will feature a panel of knowledgeable and experienced industry professionals who will share their ideas and insights with attendees.

Topics will cover everything from operating a distillery while adhering to social distancing, launching new expressions during the crisis, communicating with consumers through social media and digital tastings, navigating the absence of the on-trade and travel retail channels, the future of whisky tourism, adapting to direct shipping, working with retailers, charitable and community initiatives and more.

The World Whisky Talk: Coronavirus will provide a space for producers from around the world to share ideas, best practices and experiences of how they’ve dealt with the coronavirus crisis, and discuss how they can collectively weather the challenges ahead.

Hosted by whisky writer and consultant Becky Paskin, the online forum will feature representatives from both large and small producers, members of the on-trade and specialist digital drinks retailers, as well as marketing and PR experts.

The World Whisky Talk: Coronavirus will take place on 27th May at 5-6.30pm BST on a private Zoom call. Tickets are free for industry professionals only, but limited to 100 places. Book a spot now to avoid disappointment.
